The Chevrolet HHR (Heritage High Roof) was available since 2005 in 5-door wagon body style (five trim levels were available: base trim, LS, LT, 2LT, and Special Edition). The Chevrolet HHR in 5-door panel van body style was available since 2007 for only the LT trim and became available on all trim levels in 2008. All models had a flat-load floor and fold-flat front passenger seat. The base model Chevrolet HHR was equipped with the 2.2 L Ecotec L61 143 hp (107 kW) 150 lbft (200 Nm) or 2.4 L Ecotec LE5 172 hp (128 kW) 162 lbft (220 Nm). In 2008 the new 2.0 L Ecotec LNF turbocharged 260 hp (190 kW) 260 lbft (353 Nm) engine with the standard 5-speed Getrag F23 manual or the optional 4-speed 4T45 automatic transmission was added. In the same year the standard 2.2L and 2.4L Ecotec engines was upgraded to 149 hp (111 kW) 152 lbft (206 Nm) and 175 hp (130 kW) 167 lbft (226 Nm).
