This engine was paired with the 4-speed automatic transmission with overdrive: AOD from 1991 to 1992, its redesigned version with electronic controls AODE from 1993 to 1994 and its revised version 4R70W from 1995. Also in 1992 was available Ford Crown Victoria Touring Sedan. This submodel featured dual exhausts for the Ford Modular V-8 4.6L 210 hp (157 kW) engine, wider tires, rear air suspension, and various suspension components for improved handling.
