The 2nd generation Honda CR-X was available since 1987 in the same body style (three trim levels were available: the standard DX with 1.5L (1,493 cc) D15B2 making 92 hp (69 kW) at 6000 rpm and 89 lbВ·ft (121 NВ·m) at 4500 rpm, HF with 1.5L (1,493 cc) D15B6 making 62 hp (46.2 kW) at 4500 rpm and 90 lbВ·ft (122 NВ·m) at 2000 rpm and Si 1.6L (1,590 cc) D16A6 making 105 hp (78.3 kW) at 6000 rpm and 98 lbВ·ft (133 NВ·m) at 5000 rpm). DX models were available with a four-speed automatic transmission, all others had five-speed manuals. In 1989 the US Honda CR-X was facelifted.
