The 1st generation Chevrolet TrailBlazer was available since 2001 in 5-door SUV body style. The standard engine was the 4.2 L Vortec 4200 LL8 inline-six 273 hp (204 kW) 277 lb·ft (376 N·m) while the 5.3 L LM4 V8 302 hp (225 kW) 330 lb·ft (447 N·m) was an option. In 2005, the 5.3L LM4 engine engine was replaced by a new 5.3 L LH6 315 hp (235 kW) 338 lb·ft (458 N·m) with 4-speed 4L60-E automatic transmission and a new 6.0 L LS2 395 bhp (295 kW) 400 lb·ft (542 N·m) engine with 4-speed 4L70-E automatic transmission was added. The 2nd generation Chevrolet TrailBlazer was available since 2012 in the same body style (two trim levels were available: base-trim LT and deluxe-trim LTZ). The standard engine was the 2.5 L Duramax diesel 150 hp (110 kW) 258 lb-ft (350 Nm) while the 2.8 L Duramax MY14 diesel 180 hp (132 kW) 346 lb-ft (470 Nm) was an option. In 2014, the 2.8L engine was upgraded to 200 hp (147 kW) 360 lb-ft (500 Nm). For some markets the standard engine was 3.6L V6 petrol engine 239 hp (179 kW) 360 Nm (265 lb-ft).
