The 1st generation Dodge Intrepid (also called Chrysler Intrepid) was available since 1993 in 4-door sedan body style (two trim levels were available: Base and deluxe-trim ES). The Dodge Intrepid were equipped with Chrysler’s 3.3 L EGA V6 engine produced 150 (112 kW) and 180 lb·ft (244 N·m) of torque and 3.5 L EGE V6 engine produced 214 hp (160 kW) and 221 lb·ft (300 Nm) of torque. The 2nd generation Dodge Intrepid was available since 1998 in the same body style (six trim levels were available: Base, SE, ES, R/T, SXT, and SST). The old 3.3L and 3.5L engines were replaced by two new all-aluminum units: a 2.7 L DOHC V6 engine produced 200 hp (150 kW) at 5800 rpm and 190 lb·ft (258 N·m) of torque at 4850 rpm for base models, and a 3.2 L SOHC V6 engine produced 225 hp (168 kW) and 225 lb·ft (305 N·m) for the ES. In 1999, two new engines were added: 3.5 L EGJ V6 produced 234 hp (174 kW) at 6000 rpm and 241 lb·ft (327 Nm) at 4400 rpm of torque and 3.5 L EGG V6 produced 242-250 hp (180-186 kW) at 6500 rpm with 250 lb·ft (339 Nm) at 4000 rpm of torque.
