Ford Flex was introduced in 2009 in 4-door SUV body styles (three trim levels were available: the base-trim XL, the mid-trim SEL, and top-trim Limited). Between 2009 and 2010 two new trim levels Titanium and Sport were added.The standard engines were 3.5 L Duratec V6 262 hp (195 kW) at 6250 rpm and 248 lb·ft (336 N·m) at 4500 rpm with the 6-speed Ford 6F50 automatic transmission. In 2010, the direct-injected twin-turbocharged 3.5 L EcoBoost V6 355 hp (265 kW) at 5700 rpm and 350 lb·ft (475 N·m) at 3500 rpm engine was added. In 2013, the Ford Flex was given a major body update.
