Five petrol engines were available: 1.3 L D13 I4 SOHC produced 65 hp (49 kW) at 5,000 rpm and 82 lb·ft (111 N·m) at 2,500 rpm, 1.5 L D15 I4 SOHC produced 102 hp (76 kW) at 5,900 rpm and 98 lb·ft (133 N·m) at 5,000 rpm, 1.6 L D16 I4 SOHC produced 106-110 hp (79-82 kW) at 5,500-5,900 rpm and 108 lb·ft (146 N·m) at 4,000 rpm, 1.8 L B18B1 I4 DOHC produced 140 bhp (104 kW) at 6,300 rpm and 127 lb·ft (172 N·m) at 5,200 rpm, 2.0 L B20B I4 DOHC produced 126-142 hp (94-104 kW) at 5,400 rpm and 133 lb·ft (180 N·m) at 4,800 rpm.
The 2nd generation Honda Partner was available since 2005 in the same body style. Two petrol engines were available: 1.5L L15A1 VTEC I4 109 hp (81 kW) at 5,800 rpm and 105 lb·ft (143 N·m) at 4,800 rpm,
1.5L L15A2 i-DSI I4 produced 89 hp (66 kW) at 5,500 rpm and 97 lb·ft (131 N·m) at 2,700 rpm.
