The 1st generation Pontiac Firefly was introduced in 1985 in 3-door and 2-door hatchback body styles. In 1986 Pontiac Firefly was facelifted. The 2nd generation Pontiac Firefly was available since 1988 in 3-door hatchback, 5-door hatchback, 4-door sedan, 3-door van and 2-door convertible body styles. Four petrol engines were available: 1.0 L G10 I3 produced 55 hp (41 kW) at 5,700 rpm and 58 lb·ft (79 N·m) at 3,300 rpm, 1.0 L G10T turbo I3 produced 70 hp (52 kW) at 5,500 rpm and 79 lb·ft (107 N·m) at 3,500 rpm, 1.3 L G13A/BA 8V I4 produced 71 hp (53 kW) at 6,000 rpm and 75 lb·ft (102 N·m) at 4,000 rpm, 1.3 L G13B/G13K 16V DOHC I4 produced 100 hp (74 kW) at 6,500 rpm and 83 lb·ft (112 N·m) at 5,000 rpm. |
