Pontiac GTO was introduced in 2000 in 2-door coupe body style. One petrol engine was available: 5.7 L LS1 V8 produced 345 hp (257 kW) at 5,600 rpm and 350 lb·ft (470 N·m) of torque at 4,400 rpm with 4-speed automatic transmission or 6-speed manual transmission. In 2005, this engine was dropped and the new 6.0 L LS2 V8 engine produced 400 bhp (300 kW) at 6,000 rpm and 400 lb·ft (542 N·m) of torque at 4,400 rpm was added. |
