Pontiac Solstice was introduced in 2005 in 2-door coupe and 2-door convertible body styles. One petrol engine was available: 2.4 L Ecotec LE5 I4 produced 173 hp (129 kW) at 5,800 rpm and 164 lb·ft (222 N·m) at 4,500 rpm with the 5-speed 5L40-E automatic transmission or the 5-speed Aisin AR5 manual transmission. In 2007, the 5-speed manual transmission was dropped and the new 2.0 L Ecotec LNF Turbocharged I4 engine produced 260 hp (194 kW) at 5,300 rpm and 260 lb·ft (353 N·m) at 2,000 rpm was added. |
