The 2nd generation Smart Fortwo was available since 2007 in the same body style. Two petrol engines and one diesel engine were available: 1.0L petrol I3 produced 70 hp (52 kW) and 68 lb·ft (92 N·m), 1.0L petrol turbo I3 produced 83 hp (62 kW) and 89 lb·ft (120 N·m), 101 hp (75 kW) and 108 lb·ft (147 N·m) [Brabus], 0.8L diesel I3 produced 53 hp (40 kW) and 96 lb·ft (130 N·m).
The 3rd generation Smart Fortwo was available since 2014 in 3-door hatchback and 2-door convertible body styles. Two petrol engines were available: 0.9 L petrol turbo I3 produced 89 hp (66 kW) and 100 lb·ft (135 N·m) at 2,500 rpm, 1.0 L petrol I3 produced 70 hp (52 kW) and 67 lb·ft (91 N·m) at 2,850 rpm.
