In 2005, Toyota Wish was facelifted.
The 2nd generation Toyota Wish was available since 2009 in the same body style (2WD and 4WD models). Two petrol engines were available: 1.8 L 2ZR-FAE I4 produced 131-142 hp (98-106 kW) at 6,400 rpm and 121-130 ft·lb (164-176 N·m) at 4,400 rpm, 2.0 L 3ZR-FAE I4 produced 156 hp (116 kW) at 6,200 rpm with 145 ft·lb (196 N·m) at 4,000 rpm.
